A leading housebuilder where people come first.

We’ve been nationally recognised as a 5 star housebuilder fifteen years in a row for supplying high-quality homes for all generations. That’s more than any other major housebuilder. It’s because we combine the brightest minds, the latest technology, and a genuine commitment to putting customers first. We want the best people in the industry to help us shape the future of building. We have tailored opportunities for apprentices, graduates, experienced professionals and ex-Armed Forces personnel to come and help us stay one step ahead, and build the homes that Britain needs.

Hybrid Working

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, we remained focused on keeping our people safe, doing the right thing for our customers and communities and backing our NHS. And, as the UK’s number one housebuilder, we’re playing our part in the recovery and getting Britain building again.

As part of our commitment to keeping our people safe we introduced a hybrid working model across the company, that enabled our colleagues to divide their time between working in the office, on our construction sites and sales offices, and working from home where possible.

During this challenging time we recognised the many benefits that an effective hybrid working culture brings, so we continue to offer this to new and existing colleagues where their roles allow.

It takes a community to build a community.

We are building an organisation where anyone with drive and talent can pursue the career they want. We are building a culture where anyone, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, disability, background or any other characteristic, can progress and be proud to work for Barratt.

The way we work

We’re a values-driven organisation and that means that our principles aren’t just words on a website. They are how you will work every day if you join us. We don’t just want to be part of the future of housebuilding. We want to lead the change and make it happen. It’s a bold vision, and a challenging one, because if we want to keep customers at the heart of what we do, we'll have to continue changing the way we think and work. We want to be judged by our actions, not our promises which is why we’ve set some priorities for the business, and backed them up with a clear set of principles to ensure we act responsibly, not just now but in the long term.
